Living Toons - character - Balazs

#1

So far i just have a little doodle of the charicature. I just found out about this contest 30 minutes ago. But i’m pumped about it.
well i love working out and my friends always say i turn red and get veins and stuff, so i thought i would try to show that in this character of myself.

I’m not too good with modelling anatomy so i’m glad it’s just a cartoon.

I’ll be doing polygon modelling, start with a bod or sphere… we’ll see. Are we supposed to do low poly or does it matter ??

Good luck everyone!

Here is the start. I have lots of work to do on it and some more exaggeration. I look forward to doing the rest, i suck at faces, i need to practice more and do some tutorials.

Any suggestions or constructive criticism so far?

Thanx.

I’m back. probably nobody noticed i was gone. I haven’t touched my character until today. Been busy and stuff. I doubt it will be done but i will still finish it on my own time.

The torso started at the shoulders and i extended it by extruding the edges. I’m not sure what else to say.

This character looks much better inside my head. hehe.

HEh… looks pretty good. He needs some sweat beads flyin’ off him in the final render.

thanx guys.

ACtually my initial sketch does have sweat but because of the low quality you can’t see it. I was planning on having some sweat and also some veins.

I’ll have to experiment because i never really did eithier of those things. Any suggestions?

Also i’m not sure how much or how little detail i should put in the hands, it is a toon, but i guess it still needs to look like hands…
