Wait Wait I’m arriving,
Ok first:
Difficult to find words to start a challenge.
First I want to thank -Oz-, jeroentje and Adrian
the first to told me to partecipate the second to have definitely conviced me the third to confirm me the idea was good.

So this is my ideas:

  1. Me expressing a detached emotion in a chaotic city (sign of complexity)
  2. obviously a chaotic city
  3. my hobby/deep interest: architecture and the will to change stuff with it.

so all the ingridients for the salad are ready time to mix them

so first come the detached emotion
did I tell you i like play chess???

well done buddy!
I think is very stylish, the concept is clear and so is the drawn.
Comparing a chess character (that following rules and tidiness sovvert the order and creates a new one, always playing with balances) to the job of architect I think is very original.

this chess one could be also develop in a good way. Still thinking on it. THanks for the deep comment.

Looks good. If you’re not sure of this one why try increasing the canvas size to something wider and add something else to it. Maybe the size might spark some more creativity. Usually works for me, later I can crop it if looks better smaller.

yes it is something i usually do and i also did it for this one
i added another character with another color but i’m not satisfied
any i’m loosing time so i decide to gon on on this subject, I think i could give me a lot of chance to improve anyway.

that´s a good concept, clean drawing, very iconographic…

me personally, i would prefer more saturated colors and perhaps
a more perspective ankle to underline the idea of strong interest in architecture —>
but where is the “chaotic city”?

I was refering to another concept i haven’t still posted
It was me in a fantastic city as i can think about achitect profession in the future

then come this idea to “play” with chess.
about material (color) of chess u are right i was thinking the same.

but i am not sure, are these concepts for several chess figures ???
or just the face expressions of just one?
why don´t you add a king, queen…?

thanks to all of you for all the GOOD critiques and for the time u spent

unfortunatly this is a reall busy month for me so I couldn’t go on.

But I will try to finishit it out of challenge
here so sketches that show where I was going to go

My idea was to put some facial expressions of me on chess pieces in a sort of dynamic way ( all them seeing each other or all seeing a piece felt down)
here the making of the final scene (or what HAD TO BE final)
