Children and their parents can call into the Elf Hotline by signing up at http://www.elfhotline.com for free. Then, with a Skype account, they can talk to and interact with one of Santas own elves named Herby.
By using motion capture technology, the same technology seen in blockbuster movies like Avatar and Planet of the Apes, Motus Digital streams live animation from their Plano, TX studio. The cartoon elf, Herby, is an actor in a motion capture suit at the Motus Digital studio, and through the internet video feed, the actor can see and interact with the children, answering all of their holiday questions, such as how fast Santas sleigh goes, or what the reindeer eat. And the biggest question of all, Am I on the naughty or nice list?
