Yes mate, i see a couple of bumps here and there (especially on le lower side part just behind the door and in the higher part of the rear fender just up the side nerve) .
The door too, as seen in the clay, looks detached by the rest of the bodyshell since there’s no surface continuity.
Also, i think the side nerve of the roof are too huge in height compared to the true thing.

thank you! i took a peek at your site, stunning works and great eye for the details, wow!

Kangal? sei tu?

yes, those are precisely the areas that i need to fix, you have a very keen eye.

The door has already been fixed, it was just an error in the modifiers’ stack, my bad.

The other two bumps are giving me a little bit of headache. I’m well aware of them and i don’t feel fine leaving them there, but i don’t want to add other polys in an otherwise good (and unwrapped :wise: :wise: ) flow. We’ll see what i can do!

For the side nerve, if you mean the line running over the door: i know it’s pretty thick but I found a lot of different solutions while searching for references (chromed, flimsy, fixed with screws, or straight out removed by the owner), and i went for a fatter solution, like here

while mantaing it as a detatched element.

that said  !
right now i’ve hit a little bit of a plateau while working on the interior, i don’t feel like spending a lot of time on it.
I’ll post as soon as i have something to show you!

See you soon!

Ciao.
Si, sono io, Kangal

With some little correction i’m sure this will turn out very well. I like the whole project and the rendered engine, it fits nicely.
Keep on the good work

Hi guys, finally on vacation!

I dug up this work to practice with Substance Painter. I’m pretty new to texture painting but SP seems like a great piece of software. Too bad the latest nvidia drivers made it unstable as f*

Renders were made in Corona. Tried to stay true to a sort-of PBR method, using only diffuse, reflection color, gloss, ior and normal maps without too many tricks. I used this technique while working with realtime engines and I fell in love with it. Very powerful and reliable.

It comes out that using it in an offline renderer isn’t as taboo as i thought it could be!

Some theory here: https://www.marmoset.co/toolbag/learn/pbr-theory

It would be great to have some comments and critiques!

Great modelling, and a Fiat 500 Abarth racecar is just about the coolest car there is.

Please don’t put Hoosier tires on it. It’s just plain wrong. They’re drag racing slicks, and the Abarth is a quick and nible car that belongs on twisty turns. Pirelli’s are more appropriate and in line with the italian heritage.
