Lightwave 3D - simple animation question.

Hello all.

I’ve got a bit experience with LW3D, I’ve been modeling from time to time but haven’t any experience with animation. My problem is with model of CD case, I need an animation of it closing and opening. It’s very simple task I guess but have no idea how to start, I’ve already tried endomorphing and skeletons but it doesn’t fit in that kind of tasks. I’ve tried to find some tutorials but no success so far, that’s why I ask here. I would be very thankful for any hint or help.

Hey Anterith6,

Bones: Weight each side of the case and have a bone for each side as well. You want the pivot point of the bone to be at the spine where the case will rotate/bend from. And that will work a treat.
