The Lighting Technical Director must have a professional demo reel that illustrates core understanding of illuminating 3D assets. Some breakdown of the elements you contributed to the final shots is necessary. He/She must be able to work closely with the Lead Lighting TD, and compositors to finish selected shots so that computer generated elements are seamlessly integrated with live-action plates. You are responsible for final 3D scene assembly incorporating the illumination and rendering of all 3D elements required to complete shots as well as compositing to ensure quality and coherency of the elements generated. This position requires such traditional skills as a strong artistic eye for cinematography, composition, photography and high-resolution detail, as well as a good understanding of the principles of digital film compositing such as multi-pass rendering for composite-based control.

Experience and Skills Necessary
· At least 2 years experience with a high-level film-based lighting and rendering pipeline (most likely Maya based)
· Some knowledge of high-end rendering software such as PRMAN, Mental Ray, Gelato, 3Delight, etc.
· Some scripting ability in MEL and python is an advantage
· Desire to learn from others and to take on increasingly challenging shots
· Fully understands an “iteration intensive” shot pipeline
