Cool ! As finished VFX challenge I’m in

Neat! I am just learning Maya myself, so I’m excited to try my hand at this challenge!

I assume based on the galleries from the past challenges that we’re allowed to texture, do additional modeling and dynamic effects, etc,? Are there any other rules or anything else that’s not allowed?

#4

I am in!
Good luck to everyone!

#5

I am in as well!
Hoping to actually finish a challenge for once.
Good Luck to all.
Looking forward to the great postings in this thread.

I’m definitely going to give this one a go. Man, I haven’t touched Maya in a while! Good luck, everyone!

Please stop giving us cartoon people in realistic lighting challenges…

… please?

Here is my first render. I need to texture the kid, and refine the texturing on some of the seats.
In terms of the overall lighting I’ll try to stick with something like this, I do not want it to get too bright. I might add some lighting coming from the ceiling. I need to texture the exit door. This is a cool set CC are welcome.

Thanks

Martin

Thanks to Augusto Goicoechea there’s now a LWO file type available in the first post!

Hello everybody…

Here’s my first lighting test. Very rough… couldn’t stop after I downloaded the model.
Thanks to Dan Konieczka.

Comments and critics are most welcome.

waiting for more updates…

Hello Everyone,

I still need to texture the kid however I refined some of the lighting all across. I have some lights on the ceiling, the lights below the speakers and the light coming from the screen.

I’ll see what I can come up with next. CC are welcome!
Cheers.
Martin

Will do the texturing and shading part first.
