dhaposh: Beautiful image, great, but try to create some gradient of color in some part of the room, for example, the rock wall, it should be a little bit more bright near the windows, if you see the image the color of the wall is almost uniform. Also the top of the cabinet it look a little bit dark.

djprasun: Hi.. nice render. In the first one, try to create more contrast in the shadow, for example, the bed look a little bit uniform. The second one is much better, you have more contrast, but try to iluminated a little bit more the plants, compare the plants with the high specular light that hit the container that have the plant

yogeshsagar: great render, first i always make this advise, create a background in your scene that always help you to create your ambient or filling lights. I think that the bed need a little bit more light, and the top cabinet where the plant is, i think that is a little bit dark, and the objects near to the window maybe need a little bit more light.

Ackee: beautiful, i mind great render, the only thing but it depend of every person, is the color of the plant and the container, both look like the same green, and its fine, but if create a little bit more lighting in the plants, i think that it should look terrefic. And where is the plant the top cabinet i think that is too dark. Great Image...

ipranawake: wow... great render, beautiful. Only two thing that i see, try to create some gradient light in the chair, because the color look uniform, and the plants, create some light that iluminate the plants or specular light, because look a little bit dark. But nice image.

Inky99: Nice render, but if you create some light in the window, try to create a little bit more influence of this light in the room, and be careful there is some light between the closet and the wall.

stone cold ninja: great render. Only one think, tha lamp and the speaker i think that is too dark, is almost black, that produce for example the lamp look too flat, if you like the black color try to create some specular light that hit this objects.

hi dhaposh…
I’m not really sure about this, coz I haven’t experienced winter yet, but i think that maybe your sunlight is a bit warm for a winter scenario… maybe a hint of cool light coming from the sky…
I like your floor…

@jeremy thanks for the comment… will work on that after i finish my deadlines…

#464

@ Eduroam : Override Shadows Map make me crazy, i’ve make some tests, but with no good results… i’m think i going back to kill my computer with raytrace shadows :frowning:
Or i’ve a idea : make a pure white room with no shadows :stuck_out_tongue:

Thanks a lot Pixela!! Yes indeed the uv are wrong!

#469

@ Domenick : don’t be envious, your image look great !! :buttrock:

Getting there, some minor tweaks (put some texture on the book and maybe put in a prop or two) and then I’d feel quite happy with this shot.

Wow Visua! Your image look great! i like the pure white atmosphere on your images, especially in the second, it really makes me feel like you simply switch off the light and go out for the snowing journey  :applause:

#472

visua: Fantastic work! I like the first image best because of the contrast between the warm and cool light. I feel like there’s a little too much white. Maybe giving one of the walls an accent color?

Domenick: Nice work so far! The right leg of the left table is popping out a lot. Make sure you have a high enough trace depth for your shadows. I’d like to see some more sky light spilling onto the orange wall in the back. Keep it up!

el-coachi: Very nice atmosphere! Always nice to have new people joining. Nice use of volumetrics. I’d expect the background image to have a brighter value on the top than the bottom, and/or a higher exposure because of the angle of the light rays. The dust particles seem to be just a little bit too bright, they really stand out. I’d like to see a little more fill light on the objects on screen left, I see there’s a hint of some but I think it could be pushed a little further.

dhaposh: Good work so far especially with such a difficult lighting situation to work with. One suggestion I would have is really intensify the specularity in the scene. With the sun being so bright, I’d expect to see the reflections just as bright.

djprasun: I can tell you’ve been working hard at this. The winter scene seems to be missing some really dark values especially directly under the far window. In both images the chair next to the plant seems to get lost in front of the table. Try changing the lighting or materials to separate the two.

togeshsagar: Welcome! Try to add more sky light to your scene spilling through the window, also the plant seems very bright and over saturated compared to the rest of the scene.

Ackee: Very nice! I wonder if it may be better to just turn the sun light just a little bit more so that there’s not that small sliver of light on the edge of the window. I wonder if changing the wall paper color would contrast a little better with the plant, blanket and pillow.

pradeepsalian: Welcome! Try to create a stronger directionality with the light. If the window is your main light source, underneath the heater should be a little darker as well as under the bed. Try to get some gradiation over the floor and walls.

Hey people, just a quick question. I deleted every light from the scene to test this. Outside the room there is always a light source showing through the blinds on the window. i even turned off enable default light in render settings. how can i stop this? im prob missing something basic. any ideas?

#479
Hey dashmatt21,
Check your camera environment color?Hope u haven't mistaken it for the light source.

If you are using maya check Shadow glow.

dhaposh:Nice Idea.good work.I feel some amount of specular is missing in the whole scene.

[djprasun](http://forums.cgsociety.org/member.php?u=377173):Nice.But i think ur winter season looks bit flat.it needs some soft shadows and contrast.May be my monitor calibration problem.Cheers.Great going.

     [Shordy](http://forums.cgsociety.org/member.php?u=21887):Amazing work:applause:.
