light sabre effects with com 4 help

is it posable to do a STAR WARS lightsabre effects with comb 4, is there a tutorial on how to create one.

what u havta do is to mask out the bar in the actor’s hand,
then make a copy of it in a new layer,
blurr it , increase brightness , increase gamma jus havta play around wid these things
make a coy of this same layer,
blurr it eveen more , exaggarate it
brighten it
color correct it
&& give it a soft light blending mode. actully try out other blending modes also…

make copies of layers as much as u want…

I’ve been thinking about giving this a try for awhile but I’m still wrapping my mind around the solution.

I’d go with video of you swinging around a white pvc pipe, alot like George Michael in Arrested Development, maybe with reflective tape at the base and tip of where you want the saber part to be. In Combustion I’d throw some trackers on the reflective tape and bind it to a painted on lightsaber you’d have to make using the above guys suggestions. Its a lot of tweaking the end footage. I’m going to try at some point if I do I’ll post a Toot.
