light__amp__mood

I made it in PS CS3. In small format 948px Ă— 712px because I remade an old sketch.
Any thoughts about it? Do share with me, please.
And thanks.

Can you tell us what we’re looking at? It’s important to describe what your intentions were with this image. What is the narrative? What is this location? What are you trying to express/convey? What is the purpose of this image? What are your aspirations as an artist, and how does this image fit into the context of your aspirations?

I saw the email notification of your reply, and it looks like you edited it. Your original reply said that I didn’t say anything about the lighting, the mood, etc. The reason I didn’t, is because I have no idea what I’m looking at. Those two shapes in your scene–if we don’t know what they are, then how would we know if you succeeded in portraying what you intended? And if you don’t even know what this image is about–whether it’s a narrative, or a specific premise, location, or even if an abstract surrealism that expresses ideas, emotions, thoughts, then how can we tell you if you managed to convey your creative vision effectively?

Everything that’s artistic/technical about an image is only there to serve the idea behind the image. Even if it has no narrative, it must have a purpose (for example, concept art for games, movies, visualization for architecture, science, products, or graphic design, etc). If you don’t even know the what or why you’re creating, then how do you expect your audience to respond to something you gave no thought to at all? Shouldn’t we at least know what those two structures are and why they’re in this scene?

It’s important to remember that artists aren’t just people who make pretty pictures. Artists are also creative visionaries with emotions, thoughts, ideas, and the best visual artists are often visual storytellers.

No idea behind it, really. I am very curious why you like it, any way(if you do).
And what are those “structures”? I really do not think very hard on them.
But i like your comments- keep them coming.

There is not a lot to comment on, but I think it is too bright, like a photo that is over exposed and leaving me with not enough info to see what I am looking at.

I would consider darkening the whole image, and select what you want to stand out.
