As far as the model goes the body looks like my old LP. Depending on how much detail you wanted to add you could add more detail to the bridge and tail the. The tail shape depending on you reference does look like it would work and the bridge has seperate notches seperate from the main piece that have screw adjustments for the changing of intonation. The stings themselves are very believable. The pickup cover’s edge bevel might be just a little sharp, you may want to try to smooth it out. In most LP’s I have seen the coil notches in the pickup cover are one row on the top but it varies so it’s your preference. Also the pickup toggle switch cover is usually flat. Overall the model looks good just some added detail could make it better.

Texture wise the only textures I would keep from this would be the paint on the body (maybe drop the reflection a little) and the bridge, fret, and nob chrome. The fretboard is wood and is not generally that glossy unless you have just dumped lemon oil on your neck and even then you would still see grain. On a strat they have laquered like finishes on the neck but I have yet to see one a LP. The pieces around the pickup covers are usually cream colored plastic but plastic as is the toggle switch cover and the top of the switch. Something doesn’t seem right about the white binding, it looks alright on the other side of the guitar but up close it doesn’t actually look like it’s under the laquer of the body paint. Lastly the Chrome on the pickups are just not working it could be lighting, reflection, or any other issues but they don’t seem to read as well as the bridge.

Sorry for the rant but you asked for suggestions and it isnt a bad model but being a fan of LPs I want every one I see to look its best.

Great Job!

Whare is your referance pic. It looks liek you made a model of an old les paul with P-90 pickups retrofitted with humbuckers. Les paul Humbuckers are a bit more square and have different covers. The pickups look beleivable like the Dimarzio P-90 replacement pickups that is why I mentioned that. ?The bridge also is like one of the ealier models most newer ones. (IE after 1958) have adjustable saddles. I will agree your strings are excellent and look very beleivable. I agree with Riktors assesment. One thing you can do because this looks to me like a guitar that has been modified. I have doen a lot of modifications to guitars. You can add some weathering make it look like a working guitar that playes in clubs every night and modified for the player. Some smudges an scratches and a cigarette burn make it look like it has been on the road for a few years. Most of the modified guitars look like that.

The only problem I see with the guitar is that on the bottom edge of the guitar, the white stripe shows it’s polygons at one of the curves. At first glance I didn’t notice it, but it completely ruins your otherwise very good model of a guitar. It’s a great image, and without that one problem, I would call it photo quality.

I used to have this guitar. It is “Black Custom”

Anyway, you should increase segments of the body. I don’t see any other problems. Good work.
