Lens Effects Ray element

I’m trying to use the ray effect. I notice that no key is made (in AutoKey) when a parameter change is made to the Ray effect, or any other effect. I can see that the effect is made after the render of each frame. Is that part of the problem?

Y’all have any suggestions?
