leaves on the ground

#1

I need to create some leaves in ground. and with some movement but doesnt leave the ground… Its random leaf with some random movement .
I tired some tricks but its not so good and faced some problem. I used shape instance and when I used spin as speed follow the leaf starts to penetrate on ground. But I need effect in which wind should take away some leaves gently without leaf leaving the ground… and for that I used less spin so that leaf doenst not penetrate the ground but the effect doesnot look real I mean the movement looks some awkward.
guys need some help for such effects… All kind of idea, trick and tips are welcome…

The easy way? Particle Flow and Box#2:

Box#2 will give you shape collision as well as ground collision and a good deal of control over frictions and wind influence.

The hard way, a combination of PFlow, PFlowBaker, and Reactor. Scatter your leaves with Pflow, bake them, add reactor to the scene. Messy :frowning: You should be able to replace Reactor with PhysX if you have max2011 and the Subscription Pack or use the older PhysX Plugin.

LOL… So set it up so all of the leaves are on the ground!

The leaves don’t have to fly through the air, that just happens to be the way the I set it up

Why does everyone want an exact demo these days? :curious:

This kind of effect has been requested many times. Use the search function and you will find threads with attached max files even, don’t be lazy
