lazy behaviour of pointer relative to mouse movement_pls help

#1

i have a serious problem with painter that has been irritating me for a while now. After i have worked on a file for a little bit the mouse begins to drag and the brush movement looks like it takes a long time to catch up with my movement. I have directed the sctach disk to a drive that has 6GB of space. Why am i facing this problem.

I have recently bought a tablet and i am not able to appreciate doing painting in painter because of this nagging cursor behaviour.

I will be grateful for the rest of time to whoever could give me the solution to this problem.

Uncheck “Enable brush ghosting” under edit/preferences/general.

melvinch,

It’s not Enable Brush Ghosting that’s the problem.

It’s the Enhanced Brush Ghost, when enabled, that causes Painter to slow down as it uses a lot of memory.

antonymuse,

In Edit > Preferences > General (Windows) or Painter X > Preferences > General (Mac), uncheck both the Enhanced Brush Ghost box and the Draw zoomed-out views using area-averaging box, then:

Read these two threads at the Conceptart.org Painter forum to learn how to keep Painter running smoothly and how to speed up your Painter brushes:
