Layered Files compression

Hi guys,

I was just wondering if it’s possible to compress PSD files while maintaining the included layers.
A 21mpix image (25mb RAW) from my camera can easily become blown up to a chunky 300+mb when working non-destructively…

…TIFF compresses nicely, especially in a zip folder, so you may try saving as layered TIFF with compression on and see the sizes.

this gives me about 50% smaller file sizes; saving is fairly slow, though
