Launch Photoshop action externally?

Hi,

I’ve actually tried searching the net and admittedly haven’t been very successful, but does anyone know how to send Photoshop a command from an external program?

I’m specifically looking to send it a command to launch an action.

C:\Program Files\Photoshop.exe -action “myaction”

Kind of thing, if it exists? I’d wager not though!

I don’t know if you can do exactly what you’re asking but from what I remember you can create a batch script of some sort and save it somewhere. Then you can simply drag an image[s] to it and it’ll automatically open PS and run the script/action for you.
