Konkeptoine has released an updated version of Blobmaker… the old Endless classic from 1996. Many of you have probably already seen this announcement, but here is a quick blurb from the site:

BlobMaker™ is a ultra-fast “blob generator”. It features a specially optimized engine that calculates blobs much more faster than the method provided within EIAS. As an alternative to the traditional Mr.Blobby plugin, BlobMaker offers a much faster engine and a new set of “blob tools” designed for EIAS usage, such as thr Reactive Color controls, the built-in Noise parameters or the extra texture features.

Blobmaker looks cool.

And I am very curious about the After blobmaker question signs

What will it be? A new shader, a digital egg alarm clock?

Any other speculations?

Hopefully TROOPER, which was another Endless company plugin (Blobmaker being originally an Endless plugin as well). From what I’ve heard Trooper had the ability to create massive instances of geometry throughout a scene.
