New member here. Just saying hi.

I’m a retired color pre-press guy that lived, ate, slept, breathed Photoshop for quite a number of years. I kind of road the wave from the transistion from Scitex/Linotype-Hell based retouching and page layout into Desktop on the Mac. This was in the wild days before color-matching systems and you had to know CMYK like the back of your hand. Now it’s much easier, that’s for sure.

Anyway, that’s all behind me now. I’ve become serious now in my artwork and taken up (Wacom) pen in hand to try it out again. I’m a little rusty, but with everyone’s help here and all the great tips and inspiration, it will be a grand adventure!

Welcome to CGS :slight_smile: Nice to hear that you’ve picked up the pen again, sounds like you’re going for your passion instead of being stuck on the front porch (sorry, you mentioned retired and that’s the picture I get in my head)

Hehe, I’m retired from that job…but I’m far from the front-porch. I’m 43.

I still work, but at a much more relaxed job without the headaches and pressure from working in pre-press.

And actually Linda, you’re a big reason why I’ve come back to the art world. You’re one of a small number of artists here that have inspired me.
