There is a Play Step number under the graph editor. I have never used it before in normal play situation because I thought it only had the effect in connection with Play Frames button which let’s you play anim in slow motion so you could tweak your animation. But if you set this number to 0.01 while in normal play mode the animation will playback at normal speed but at maximum possible refresh rate (maximum frames per second). You get smooth animation playback and a better sense of motion. Try this on faster run/walk cycles and you will see what I mean. I’ll keep this number at 0.01 at all times. It feels great !
