I agree with David. Strong start. Try to move into DMP land asap because you have set yourself up for a tremendous amount of detail work.
Beginning the 3D stuff…Really my first crack this type of process…not completely sure what I’m doing, but it sure has been fun so far :)…love to hear what you think,…
Agreed Milan, I hope to hit it ASAP… thanks guys, much appreciation :D!!

Used Cinema 4D for this… Just for the fast replicating geo tools and the in your face hierarchy to copy past stuff…
Started laying down some things…Felt like it could be real easy to work, and want to work details in the 3D stuff forever!
Might be a bit for the next post… gonna hit the DMP hard later this week

When you do your final pain-tover, make sure you play with the shadows as nicely as in your concept, to retain the impressive energy that was originally communicated.
An update…
I went into some go the details in the mid pillars and tried a few things to the FG right area…that changed up some…kinda frustrated me…laid down some base images, but I felt it got to complicated. With different approach, I decided to lasso block out and add smaller images and paint… feels a little better …But, still a work in progress though…15 days to go
temp FG clouds and lighting …just to see …

Thanks Kiwi!..
Totally,…gonna add a few more in there… though I’m also hoping there might be a couple port side too
This is coming along nicely :buttrock:
Keep your color balance in mind :curious:
especially with the subtle variations of blue tones you have going on
Thanks for the comments Seema & Alik
Here is mine for July
Learned a lot watching everyones work progress and enjoyed seeing it all come together. I went into this really wanting to try a few new things, to use this challenge as a way to push myself to step away from what I typically do ( as in technique and software tools)
Happy with this months progress and look forward to trying another go at it in a future monthly challenge ahead sometime.
Good luck to everyone!! :wavey:

My feedback for Daniel. This will be mirrored in the winner’s thread too. Sorry for the delay!
“I’m definitely feeling the height of this piece, soaring quite high! Great mega city above and below the clouds, as well as open space ports that are logically big enough to have ships such as the original plate go in and out without too many traffic problems. Maybe slightly too dark and contrasty on the right hand side where the structure is pretty far from us.”
