Nice draw! You used inks?

#3

Hi,

It is. Since Inktober.
That’s a napkin, actually, at a cafe.
I’ve bee in the habit of doing that.
Shoulder started giving out from leaning on it.
Thanks!

Still working on today’s…

#4

I’ve been working on this for a couple of days.

Figuring it out.

Made with a Wacom Bamboo tablet and ArtRage 5.0.

Liked your use of colors on the buildings. I believe its the more detailed part, my eye went right to it.

#8

Hi,

Yeah. The composition on this thing. I just drew it out and started coloring.

Those buildings are really competing with her, aren’t they?

I wonder if I could lighten the shadows in the background, maybe with haze, to bring the floating figure out more.

I don’t know.

This picture was just a sort of thought.

The figure, anyway … flat top, two matching glowing tails… looks like a floating ginger root.

I don’t know.

Maybe just render it and move on.

#9

Probably the figure would stand out with more details and the building leave it like that or blurred… like the focus of the camera is on her…

#10

When you live near the Pacific, eventually it starts looking like Catalina Island.

There will probably be a shoreline cupola added, a la Avalon. That and maybe some boats to try to break this up a bit.

#12

Nice horses. I like the loose style.

#13

This style of painting Works very well in moving shapes. One can feel the movement of the horses!

#14

Michael and Hugo, thanks.

Movement was the idea.

The other idea was getting done. My schedule has been pressing.

Looks like the movement came through though.

#15

Infinitedivide,

I’ll check out the Maxfield Parrish video -

https://vimeo.com/173172565

Parrish is about right, similar stuff I think. Pictures I was looking at were from Sir Lawerence Alma-Tadema.

I’m curious about the video. Thanks.

#16

Place keeper.

I’ll have a lot more time tomorrow.
