Jan Mark's Scruffy Scrapyard...

Thanks Nazirull! I had a good boost with spring and all. And thanks

Well, I was looking around to understand more about painting method and came across some articles and a tutorial. I remembered that the eye builds up an accurate image through intensity and colour is an added advantage but not the main deal. My work was amusing at best and completely demoralising to myself lol. So I got methodical after doing an anatomy workshop painting, which was a copy of a photograph which showed some promise and was a first finished for me. From there on I just enjoyed stretching black and white to my likings, it’s good to set limits to both challenge yourself and keep the learning focused.
Btw the tutorial is the one on values and forms that’s in the art discussion forum.

Sylanya, thanks! I was trying to fix the bottom lol. But with the help of Oz Haver I got a long way in the end. By the time it was ‘too late’ I think I was halfway through enlarging it. You’re very right it should sag a bit more probably. Thanks for pointing it out. I might have missed that completely.

CHeers! The frenzy continues.

Should be done with the nody, I want to start on some hands now. I did a little edit, I think it looks kind of cool(levels).

#176

Ok, now it’s near finished :wise: … Had to widen her hips for what I intended, and adapt her back. Pretty difficult… :S

#177

Ok, finally some hands… most difficult on this one I found was the bounce light and form of the wrist in this bend…

I’m kind of happy with it, really gives more life or character to her… C & C most welcome, I rarely do accurate hand attempts.

edit:Oh yeah, in the irhgt hand she’ll drag a rose abit as if a cello player, across her back. The other hand probably handling a curtain.

#178

Are these images even showing up at all? :scream:

#179

Hi jm!

I am having a hard time focusing on the technique given the sexy subject, but I will do my best…

I think that there’s a little too much space between waist and hip on her righthandside. It looks snake-like. And painful.

And the line between the buttocks stops rather short from the point where the back makes the transition to the “region of interest” ( )

Only minor crits, though, but I think the overall pose might benefit.

Keep it up!

Hmm… that might explain the lack of focused critique, mmyessz…

Well Thx for taking the effort Mu, duely noted. lol.

I’m waiting till a later stage to fix up the back, the rose might change the take on things in the end. Hoping to do some worthy background as well this time, mood lit for the better part.

As for the back I figured the accumulation of bodyfat in the particular area, :surprised Would even the muscletone out. I’ll have a go at it though, thx!!!

lol

#181

Well, this should be the final hand, maybe I’ll wrinkle it, but not sure how good that would look though. Am still working on a pose for the other hand.

#182

Looks nice! Hands are tricky, but you seem to be doing a really good job with them! Keep it up with the other hand, hehe!

#183

No ref too lol, :D, thanks. Other one is tricky considering I might light only part of it due to a curtain. Hmm, we’ll see.

#184

Smore work…

Not much to say, seems to me like it appears to small, could be te suggestion of perspective is missing. I’m going to have to work on that.

#185

Excellent…

#186

Thx bunches!!! ^^

#187

Great going matey…excellent stuff. I wis i can be as hardworking…:hmm:

Im looking at her chest and trying to imagine her without breasts…i see the chest looks rather too flat…i dunno …u try…and the upper arm of the bent one is to me, looks uncomfortably twisted…

Im no Rebecca man… but just telling ya wut i see…maybe im wrong…regardless…great stufff here man…im werking on my values for my piece tooo…hehehe

Cheers!

#188

Nice hands! Wow, those look great. Good work on those.

#189

Hey Nazirull, I was worried about the chest a bit too. I think I got the lower part of the ribcage volume a bit wrong, I think maybe tweaking at the back should help. Not sure, but leaving it to rest for a while and going to work on setting up detail. The arm stays lol, I can twist it like that myself, prolly depends on whether are born dexterous or not. Hmm…

Hey like your concept for the challenge, gonna be checking by.

Thx Sylanya, still feel the need to tweak her elft hand more, but it’s a solid start I feel.

Thanks again! more to come soon.

#190

nice work on the figure structure. stick some white in there! too grey.

#191

Looks really intriguing! I think the hands are lovely, too. I keep looking at her left buttock, though. Maybe it should be a little higher up, considering her pelvis position? Or juuust slightly bigger? Oh, what do I know. Love your mysterious lighting. Ga zo door!

#192

Wow that hand and the muscle structure look great. I too am not sure on that buttock, but thats a very minor niggle. keep going, I’m learning stuff from your thread.

#193

This is coming along greatly

I really like the hands too
