When I have something isolated, I always have to manually add new objects. It’s been like that for many years/versions of Maya/graphics cards. I’m on Maya 2020 now. Is there some way to get this working?
Isolate Select + Auto Load New Objects. Does it work for you?

it’s working if you duplicate the object, and if you untick “interactive creation” for the polygone primitive menu.
other than that no.
But should be fairly easy to script for some other cases like “import” if it’s really important to your workflow.
