Is there any way to get Mari working on my laptop?

#1

Hi there!

I’m currently working mainly on my laptop due to travelling a lot with work. I use a HP Envy (6 GB of ram, AMD Radeon HD 6850M) and all the programs I use (Maya 2014, Zbrush 4R6 etc) run perfectly fine. Now I wanted to get more into Mari 2.5 (I already used Mari at a studio I worked for and loved it) and after working on a relatively simple model with a single 4k texture my latop overheated within 5 minutes. Tried it again, same result.

Is there any way to get Mari working on my laptop? Any settings that would help? I already tried turning off Vsync and setting my Max Image Memory higher but it didn’t help.

Also, “Disk Usage” is only at 48%…shouldn’t it be higher?

Thanks!

Julian
