Is the CGS area dead?

#61

I know what you misss… heheheheh

and it’s not the wooden shoes

#62

That is…freaking AWESOME…lol

By the way guys…i am happy too to talk to some of the guys of the Old Guard…it feels …home…no …no tears…today…sorry …lost my marbles…again…:scream:

#63

You’d be amazed at how much the Netherlands has changed over the past 3 to 4 years. There’s so much crap going on in politics, media and culture. Sometimes I feel like packing my bags and moving someplace else. What’s keeping me here is family and friends, but that’s it. I can live without the wooden shoes and the ‘other’ things

But perhaps it’s not the country that’s changing but the people.

#64

Well to be honest i miss a lot…i really felt free in Amsterdam…i could easily live there for some time…a year ot two…

and of course i miss…the life there…BUt i will come back this year i hope…eheheh

#65

You’re right Richard, people don’t care anymore about anything or eachother…
Ah well… guess it’s the same for all other countries.

Go on cry big guy, memories are a good thing
Hey were’s Brian, Piggy? Bet he’s still playing Unreal 2004

#66

Sh*t, we should meet again…
and get drunk or something

#67

Your right about that. Either that or they care too much about things that don’t matter.

#68

While browsing the old thread I suddenly realized it’s from around may 2005. So that’s not even more then 3 years. It feels like so much longer ago.

So you wanna see some of my photo’s ?
Hmm, now I’m getting stage fright. I never counted myself a good CG’er (hell most of you made it to at least 1 Expose edition, I tried but never made it) and the same goes for photography.

Please be gentle.

Flickr is more then just a portofolio. It’s also a good deal of fun. I might even say it has a slight case of Bonanza.

#69

Wow, those are really good. You’ve got some great sunsets and vistas in there. I especially like the Montana shot.

#70

Very nice photo’s man! Nice car too

Me I’m stuck with a family car… two actually, but hey

#71

Whahaha
Actually the car came with those exhaust and platics bits from the factory.

Thanx for the comments on the photo’s. Perhaps I’ve got a future outside of IT or CG after all

#72

Wow, 300 posts into the bonanza and its still mostly introductions and workstation photos. I forgot just how much got posted to that thing.

#73

I’m at page 37 with Linda bending her limbs in most unusual places to impress Theresa. What were we thinking…?

#74

I’m still haunted by the whole thumb thing she did. That was freaky. What’s Linda up to these days? It’s been ages since we heard from her…hope she’s ok.

Went to her website, says she's on a sick break, still making masks though, they're stunning. It makes me want to break out the papier mache. :D
Thx...long time no see! Great to see you around. I loved the wood picture, great textures you have there. Keep it going...

Hey, Flickr. I love that place, it's addictive, isn't it? I ended up spending like an hour browsing pictures of cupcakes, lol.

Doesn't this remind you of lemog's sister's cakes? (or was it his brother?) lol, they were hilarious.

#75

Good gravy, Linda posts hers on page 37, I post mine on page 86. What were we thinking, 50 pages in 1 day.

Speaking of Linda and seeing all those pics, I wonder how old [font=Verdana]Azrael is now. Cats don’t live forever. I’ve been through about 7 since then.

#76

Wasn’t it a cake in the shape of a piece of beef?

Yay, let’s post pics of our workstations! :bounce:

In the olde days the girls weren’t CG

#77

Yes and wasn’t there one in the shape of the eiffel tower or something? Or maybe that’s my stereotyping coming into play…?
Yeah, I wonder how Azrael is. Cats usually live to be about 12, don’t they? This was 3 years ago and she was about …6? She’s probably still around but getting on a bit.

Marlon…that’s no computer, that’s Leonard (AKA Yoda)'s life support pod and these are his echelons. ‘Bring me Solo and a cookie!’

#78

Thank you

I’m sure Azrael is still around. He’s a Norwegian Forest cat and they’re pretty tough animals. And he was certainly part of the Bonanza crew even though he couldn’t type a keyboard or use a Wacom.

I wonder if we can get this thread going again. I’ll try to come back here on a daily basis and see if it takes off. Bonanza Part II or The Return of the Bonanza.

#79

omg! 50 pages in just one day? I went to sleep, woke up, read the board and suddenly there are two new pages full of how they loved it back in the day

Though THX you’ve got some beautifull pictures in your gallery, I really love the old-wood picture the most. I’m a bit of a hobby photographer myself, and I hear you when saying that making some photo’s gets you away from the computer and levels you a bit.

Flickr is an amazing site! I can spends hours watching beautifull photo’s.

Oh man… and don’t get me started about the dutch politics… The whole Wilders case… I get sick of it. Just show us the damn movie allready.

#80

Trust me…u don’t want me to post pics of my workstation(s)…u will be very jealous…hihihih
:bounce:
