Is Ordering Messiah on PMG site secure?

#1

I have noticed that if you try to order a PMG product on thier website there is no https:// at the top of the page that you enter your credit card information. I also find it a bit weird that they immediatly ask for your credit card number before you even get to the page where you put in your shipping information. Every other site I have been to including ones with Verisign Logos are secure. Am I missing something here? I really dont trust the security of ordering from PMG.

I had emailed PMG before and they said it was secure but didnt give any explanation as to why it didnt show up the way a secure site normally does with https://.

on Sunday Mar 19 they did have it secure but only for that day and they had a PayPal option but now its gone?

When I went there it had a versign logo. Also just because the whole page isn’t secure doesn’t mean the information isn’t being sent securely. My bank, credit card, and insurance companies all have secure logins on the main page but the main page itself isn’t secure. The data sent from those fields however are encrypted. My guess is that pmg’s store works the same way.

I am planning on ordering Messiah Studio soon so I hope your right:shrug:. It just kinda seems weird that the whole page isnt secure like other sites that are similair like Luxology, Pixologic, Corel, Newtek and Softimage all have the entire page secured. Thanks for the info.

If you have doubts, simply order by phone !!

The checkout process is secure, if you click the verisign logo it will tell you the the transaction is being handled by verisign’s checkout service. I don’t think the transaction data is ever even going through pmg server. But I TRick’s advice is best, when in doubt call it in.

I finally found how to order securely on the PMG website. If you click on the advertising banner it will take you to a secure check out(https://) and also gives a paypal option. If you use “New Purchase” option from the drop down list it seems to be put through a bit differently. Just thought this would be informative.
