Is my site stupid???

Hi this is my first site; it’s only about 30% complete. I took out info in my resume for security reasons. Does everything load ok? What do you think of the theme? Any feedback is appreciated.

Um,

You took your links page off, your resume is still there. You might want to check out how your page layout looks like under different browsers. I’m on IE and the text for your resume is not centered on your background image.

I liked your little intro for being only 30% done. Over all its unique and with some more work it will be pretty cool. Of course, I can’t say much, because I haven’t taken the time to do mine…:smiley:

Thanks for the reply! My resume page scroll image is a table, and the text is a bunch of different layers. How can I fix this alignment problem? At 1024 X 768 everything looks fine, how do I auto-fix this when someone is at 800X600?

I’m at 1280x1024 and the text is slightly to the left. What I would do is create a table and use your image as a background for it. I’m not sure if that will work in any other browser than IE though. You’ll have to test it. Once you have the image set as the background for the table, you can then add cells and rows to get the text right in the middle. I would suggest that you slice up the image and use those as spacers in the rows.

I don’t comprehend the concept of having a big long water fly-through. for the reason alone i’d never return to your site. the chest and all that is unique i guess. as far as the text in the resume… if you’re using dreamweaver 4/mx you could easily make one row/column … stick the scroll as the backgrond image… then create a layer over top of the table … type your text the way you want it. convert them both to tables then convert them to layers and then back to tables with the centered option checked… that way they are tables in the final and your entire thing will be centered no matter if they resize the window. just a thought.

I honestly dont like how shockwave is being used, that loading screen gets annoying on it, but I guess theres really nothing you can do about that since your using 3d. Doesnt seem to bad though.

It would be nice to have an option to skip the intro sequence though.
