Is it possible to "isolate" a dynamic simulation?

#1

Hi guys, I have a question about some dynamics simulations that I have in my scene.
In my scene there are 3 different dynamics simulations, 2 of these with maya fluids and the other with bifrost. These simulation are closed into 3 different objects and these objects have to rotate like a ā€œferris wheelā€ā€¦so everything is ok.
When these physical containers rotate the dynamics simulations change logically their behaviour because the rotation influence the smoke flow (for example).
Well…is there a method to ā€œisolateā€ the simulations?
In conclusion I would like to rotate this ā€œsimulations containersā€ but the simulations should behave as if they were still.
I hope I explained.
Thanks

sim them in a static container then parent the transform of the cached system to your rotating ferris wheel.

Thank you so much…I’ll try soon.

I’m sorry but I still need your help!
I made the caches for all of my dynamics and the fluids dynamics are ok but the bifrost simulation doesn’t follow his container :frowning:
I tried every constrain in Maya and the parent connection but the the bifrost simulation is always in the native position…any other ideas?

I havent used Bifrost much but my understanding is that you can Alembic cache the geometry. Do that then constrain the alembic transform to your ferris wheel.

Ok, I’ll try…thanks

Great! It works!
Thank you very much
