iRay String Options dont work. What is wrong?

Hey guys,

im having trouble passing any String Option to iRay. If i want to activate a Degrain Filter for example, and add this line to the String Options Section:

[i]“iray degrain filtering” 1

[/i]i get this in the listener:

– Error occurred during fileIn in StringStream:“iray_string_options.AddOption “iray degrain filtering” 1 index:-2”; line number: 1
– Argument count error: AddOption wanted 2, got 4

Actually - EVERY String Option i found on the Internet does not work for me :frowning: I found them here: http://blog.irayrender.com/post/83626331604/3dsmax-2015-part-i - and none of them work, i ALWAYS get the same error.

What do i wrong? How do i use String Options in iRay? Its NOT documented :frowning:

have you try iray Manager?

iRay Manager actually works.

I still wonder why setting those strings inside of the String Options Rollout doesnt work at all. I had a look into the manual and actually only the String Options mentioned there really work.And those are just a few; a handful of those available with the Script.

Anyway - thank you for that hint. The Script is for Max 2015 but it works just fine in 2016 as well.
