Intergalactic Cruise Lines, Carl Fredsberg (3D)

Title: Intergalactic Cruise Lines
Name: Carl Fredsberg
Country: Canada
Software: Wings3D

Original inspiration for this ship came from a knot in a wooden table. Further inspiration came from a John Berkley image emblazoned on the cover of an old book I found around the house.

The background nebula came about by accident when I tried using a fractal image as an environment image. The lines just seemed to work, so I have kept that for the final piece. I am open to any critique, good or bad.

Software used:
Wings3D, Chaoscope, Apophysis
Rendered in Kerkythea 2008.
Post pro in Paint Shop

Pretty cool…

Those are some huge thrusters. I think the little details really help the scale of the ship, but maybe the thrusters are too big? Maybe a few smaller ones? I can see that it goes with your art direction though…

It’s interesting you used Wings3D. I tried that program and I wasn’t able to yield work as good as this.
