Installing softimage 7.5

I got my CDs today and had everything installed and working in about an hour. The important thing to remember is this is a new licensing system and you need to read the instructions. There is also additional information on the Internet.

If you have a network license you need to install the License server first.
After that is installed you need to configure it.

Start with the included documentation on the CD.

After that I installed the network version of the software. When I started Sofitmage7.5 I got the Error: No Interactive Network License Available. I was able to solve it by following this link(also listed on the above page).

I was able to solve my problem by setting my server as localhost.

Hopefully this will prevent some of the problems others have had. Just be sure to read through everything before you start installing.

Same thing pretty much happened to me but be aware that apart from the host name other fields in the network license manager might need correcting. In the end si remoted in to my machine and got me up and running in three minutes that after I had spent three days trying to fix the problem.

Well I’ll say thanks for this post cause FINALLY I got this running on my desktop - 10 minutes ago…

I’m not even gonna bother tryinig to figga out how to get an install on my laptop working for now - maybe later.
