Industrial Light & Magic has set the standard for visual effects, creating some of the most stunning images in the history of film. Founded in 1975 by George Lucas, ILM is the leading effects facility in the world serving the motion picture, commercial production and attraction industries. Awarded 14 Academy Awards for Best Effects and receiving 17 Scientific and Technical Achievement Awards, ILM has played a key role in 5 of the top 10 worldwide box office hits of all time. Eighteen countries are represented in an artistic and relaxed environment that mingles fine arts degrees with carpenters, software engineers and traditional animators.

ILM’s current projects include Transformers, Eragon, Evan Almighty, Harry Potter and the Order of Phoenix, Lady in the Water, Nightmare Before Christmas 3D, Pirates of the Caribbean 3, and The Spiderwick Chronicles.

Industrial Light & Magic will be at Siggraph 2006 in Boston, MA on Tuesday, August 1st – Thursday, August 3rd. The Siggraph organization’s national convention is one of Industrial Light & Magic’s targeted recruiting venues. Each year numerous digital artists and technology professionals from post-production facilities and animation houses around the world interview with ILM recruiters in pursuit of possible full-time and project-based positions. If you would like to be considered for one of these roles, the following information will instruct you on the positions we will be interviewing for during the conference as well as the guidelines to follow in order to be given pre-Siggraph interview consideration.
