In love with Pathfinder

There was a lot of talk recently about Pathfinder so I thought I’d give it a look.
I got that plugin in a set when I bought Dante couple years ago and never turned my attention to it. Big mistake. Last year I had a job where the camera follows the flow of contaminated water beeing purified through a maze of pipes and gizmos. I had to fake it in After Effects with animated masks and all. I recreated a simple pipe system to show you how easy that job could have been.

Pathfinder is a beautiful thing.

Very nice Rick! You probably already know this but it can also follow a null path which is easy to adjust within animator. Your method is much easier though since you are trying to match the inside of the pipes.
