Hey guys, I hope someon can help me. I,m using vue6 xstream and I want to export my terrains as a heightfeild image map amd use the for a game engine. Every time I try I get interlaced looking artifacits in my image instead of a smooth image. The color and bump maps turn out fine. Please let me know if anyone knows what I’m doing wrong. Thanks

Right click on the terrain option to “open terrain in editor” set the pixel res, then import.
Or load a procedural terrain, use the image to generate the terrain, in the function. You can now set any pixel res, detail the terrain, smooth areas, … then convert the proc terrain to a standard.
Bi-linear interpolation works well with images as terrains. I suggest 16-bit png files for any grayscale images in vue.
