image sequence frame offset??

#1

hello, I am fairly new to Maya…I imported a quicktime movie to texture on an object and I want to offset when the qt movie starts…can someone help explain how to do it. I have searched around and found some explainations but so far cannot do it?

I’d convert the quicktime into an image sequence and keyframe the image number in the texture. that way you get an fcurve that you can edit easily - adding time warps, delays, holds, and even play footage backward over the length of the animation. Much more effective. If you do go this route - try outputting the qtime as a .iff sequence - mayas renderer is much more efficient with them from what I’ve seen
