you need to take a front view of a head and load it up then rotate it so that it’s facing the z axis then load up a side image of the head it should be facing the x axis allready. both images should be the same scaled size make sure there lined up pretty even the nose and eyes should be the same height in both views.
then just start making a general shaped head toggle to wireframe view as needed to to adjust points and beable to see through your model to your picture at the same time.
Hi,
Here’s how I do it…
1:Get an already aligned image(I recommed you make your own)
Such as this one right here at JJ’s Ref archive
2:RMB(with nothing selected) and Click Image Plane
(Note that the first created plane is aligned along the X axis so rename it side, left or right your choice)
3:In the Geometry Graph,Select the plane,RMB and Duplicate it(I’m using the graph just to make sure the duplicata is at the same origin/coordinates)
4:Select the ‘Side Plane’ and move it on the X axis close to where the grid ends and lock it(via geo graph)
5:Select the duplicated one and RMB,choose rotate(Y) and hit tab…Enter 90 in the textbox.(you could pass the Tab step and rotate using the mouse and holding shift to constrain the angle steps)
6:Move the plane back on the Z axis and lock it down…
7:Finally,Push the ‘O’ key to transform the view in an orthographic one,now you’re ready to build over your pictures using the different viepwort angles…
You can also use a transparent material to see through the mesh or simply toggle wireframe/visibility ect…
Hope this is hlepful
yup, this is very helpful… not only elpful, butyou also gave me an image to practice with… woow…thanks a lot!!!
