I’ve read some thread here, and I’m more enlightened now .
The level of gallery is high now, for good or strange reasons, but that’s not the question here.
My goal is not to force this image to go to gallery, but just to understand why the level on this one is not as good to enter in .
This image was already in a wip forum ( zbrush ) and I would like to know what’s the problem, improve it would be nice ! So leigh could you help me ?

I’ve posted this last shoot on my gallery , and it has been refused too .
I’ve show it in my studio and nobody can tell me what is the problem with it …
and create a wip thread too

i’m not a professional but i find it very nice especially textures (glass ,candel … )and lighting;
for anatomical proportions this is not an human and for me the creature seems good with the zbrush scuplt .
I’m no expert in 3d but i like this piece. The skin texture is a tad unconvincing though. It comes off somewhat plastic. Its also lacking in tones that skin should have. Its practically mono-coloured. Maybe thats a factor. Otherwise i can’t really think of any other faults, the rendering everywhere else looks great

The second is much more better, the troll creature facial expression and skin shader looks better , the feel of his wrath and the feeling of movement is reinforced, the overall modeling is very good, the lighting and shading is exellent , and the mood is simply awesome, i do believe that it’s a matsterful piece and its deserve an award IMHO, the first version is enought good BTW, i can’t understand why it’s rejected !
Maybe it’s just an opnion but this is a wonderfull piece on every aspects, congratulation, i think it deserve more attention and consideration .

Finnaly the wip thread help me a lot to reconsider my work . And when I compare the two images, I see why it’s was not so good , in particular on the modelling of the orc who needed to be charismatic !
