Yay TinyC,

my alltime favorite villain - you did a great job capturing him in CG.
I’d love to see a little animation too. Maybe a short monologue from the movie? Anyways this is great work.
I’m looking forward to your paper on Multi-UVs and Multi-Disp. It’s something i didnt bother with until now but always thought that it held some possiblities. Problems were the seams you mentioned. Im curious how you setup your workflow for this.

No Crits from me - just compliments

nice job there, you can optimize a little bit the reflections on his torso imho

#63

Wow. That guy is one of my favorite character designs ever and you really captured his look perfect.

#64

wow! great job man. :bounce:
the only critique is, i would place him a bit more in the foreground.
i think, that the background takes too many place of that pic!!! but thats only my opinion!
i look forward to the making of!

#65

Very nicely done… congrats friend, you gotta top material there!

#66

Thanks again for the comments and crits everyone.

Multi-UVs is very tricky to be honest, not so much for sculpting in ZB, but in extracting and painting. Most of the information on it is very sparse, Dave Cardwell on the ZBCentral forum explained enough of how it needs to work, even though it was alot of trial and error on my part I probably couldn’t have done it without his explanations.

Cheers,

Wicked!
Love it!

Very good job, I’d like to see wires.:applause:

" What is light …without dooaaaarrk ? "
"Rou hoa ha hahaha…haaa "
Well at least we know the Lord of Darkness speaks with the Queens’ English. :scream:

Thank you for creating this image. You’ve made me want to see the movie again.

( What was with the cheezy glow in the dark finger-nails and eyes in that first scene of the movie ( Where he says “Mother Night fold your doaark arms a-buv me etc …etc” )
Does anyone remember the way that the LODs’ horns bounced around when he ran ?

OOh that was such a good one to see as a kid.

Back on topic here : I know this is a finished piece, so I don’t know if we are supposed to still crit. it.
If so, I have one nit-pick : Tim Currys lips weren’t that full in the movie ( The models lips are too thick and have a different shape.
Other than that one nit pick, the model is A+ perfect !

great model, again his skin is a bit plastic for me.

Very nice. Modeling, pose, lighting… all excellent. I wouldn’t mind seeing a little more attention to the background. A lot of specular light. Not sure if that’s where you were going with that, if so, nevermind. All that said, great work. I look forward to seeing more.

#72

Very nice! But just a few thing…

  1. His head is very detailed (like bump mapping) but his body is very smooth…
  2. His horns… are they really that large at the origin?
  3. The background is a bit dark.
  4. As someone noticed before, his arms are too short i guess… It might be not, itcould be just my lack of insight.

But anyway, great work

#73

Yeah, Tim Curry is a hell of a character actor, a versatile singer, and quite a philanthropist (sp?)…

#74

Great job  And Legend is my fave movie

#75

Still working on the writeup, but here are some sneak peak images to tie you guys over.

Amazing work

Jaw dropping beautiful work bro’, Absolutely awesome. Reminds me alot of the Horned Reaper from Dungeon Keeper, one of the most fun games ever made :), brought back wonderful memories, thx :), keep this stuff coming man. The only thing I would make mention of is this, the skin looks a little bit too shiny, which is kinda what I like but kinda what I don’t like, perhaps if it had just a bit more bump to it, I dunno, not really a crit because I kinda like it, hope that makes sense, just a thought.
Regards,
Half

Gorgeous model… but the shading needs improvement… looks like a plastic doll
