I didn’t realize Tim Curry played the LOD in Legend?!?!? That’s hella funny considering his icon status from RHPS.
I actually like the look of his skin…it matches the qualities of the costume in the film. I also think the displacement detailing is an improvement over the original.
Glad you got put on the front page. I know I did my fair share of whining to help out. :blush:

Since watching Legend again on DVD, I just can’t imagine anyone else pulling off some of those dialogue with that operatic voice than Tim Curry. Also, there was no animatronics used in Legend, they had Tim Curry and I believe a stunt guy on stilts, almost similiar rigged as the werewolve suits in Underworld. Also, LoD’s eyes were made from golfballs with sleets that they shoved into Tim Curry’s eyes, he couldn’t see through those things. Supposely Tim Curry didn’t fancy the makeup and suit, and complained quite a bit, something which Ridley Scott took some amusement out of.

hehe… Amazing model, no use to mention it…

But I’d like to know if you can actually animate that one ? …lots of detailing in there that seem to require a hell of a Skinning job !!!

Animate? Yes, this character is fully rigged from the waist on up. Even has muscle bones for chest, lats, shoulder, bicep, foreman, neck, obliques, and even a functioning facial rig. The rig isn’t 100% done, no animator friendly controls or sliders, but useable enough to animate with. I’ll show shots of the rig in the “making of”.

Maybe lighting isn’t appropiate for this kind of character IMO, but creates pretty colors.

Wow, looks exactly like I remember except for the abs!

I do think that the highlight is way too bright, he looks completely smooth now. Friggin five stars though!
I must see the movie again! Maybe I’m wrong about the highlights too! I’m definitely going to get Zbrush!:eek:
