Hello CG rigging community, I’m currently stumped on an IK/FK rigging issue in Maya. The issue I’m having is that I set up an IK/FK rig for the arm. I have 3 arms built for this. One for IK, one for FK , and then one that is driven by both the IK and FK. I have these both working, however, the issue I’m having is that I am uncertain on where the finger controls go. I have tried to parent constrain both the main IK control (wrist), and the wrist FK control to the finger controls (which are also FK). the finger controls do not move properly with the arm when I switch between one or the other. If I had only FK controls for the arm I would simply just parent all the finger controls into the wrist control. However, I have two controls I need the fingers to move with, the IK control and the FK control. Does anyone out there know how I can do this? I’ve also provided an image to display the issue. Hey. We didn’t get the image… but if I understood your problem, you have to parent / constrain the hand control / joint to the third joint chain (the one that’s skinned to the geo)… the one you say “the one that is driven by both the IK and FK”.
Is that it?!
