Identical

The subject is a little girl having played dress up with her cat. now looking in the mirror at her reflection. (reflection not drawn yet.)

For my sketch though i did notice it was to centered with the character so i moved the border a bit but now its too centered with the wall line. so i need ideas where i should move her.

I am trying to do work similar to Elsa Chang.

You don’t have to set the scene up so we’re looking at a perfect profile division of the real version and mirrored version. There are many other ways to make this composition more interesting. For example, why would we need to see an exact mirror-image of the characters if they look the same except flipped horizontally? Why not change the camera angle so we only need to see their faces once in the mirror, and then we see the backs of the real version standing in front of the mirror? That way, you’re not just showing the same thing twice.
