Idea of my project please

[color=white] I’m studying in 3D Animation & Visual Effect Program. I not have a knowledge about story telling. I have a 40 second 3D Animation project. I would like to make realistic animation. Now I have one character, she is a princess. Sets of project is the small kingdom in the forest (Imagine the elven’s kingdom on Lord of The Ring). I may have another character. I plane to make a sprite. But I don’t know how the princess do on 40 second for the best story telling.[/color]

Hiii! What I try to use in these tiny structures, since there´s such a few time, is the structure of a joke; try to make people start thinking that they know something´s going to happen at the end of the short and then throw the most unexpected scene for the viewer; analyze jokes to see how they r constructed, most are built that way.
LOTR reference is a very tricky one, since Tolkien´s books are just the opposite, they r just HUGE, so be careful not to develop something that should be told in 3 hours!

princess trying to climb up a huge elvn tree with the help of a ladder with long gown and stuff, her hairs got tangled up in bushes and someone singing in the background “be carefull when you climb up on the ladder of success, someone may be looking under your dress”

I was thinking like in labarynth where hoggle was spraying fairies with a canister. and then somehow she learns that the sprite can grant wishes. only to learn that it’s all offended now and refuses.
