I need DVD on how to draw Human Figures

#1

hello,

I’ve got a class coming up that requires me to do free hand drawing for character creation.

Don’t know if I can say I’m from a traditional art background, I liked to draw when I was a kid but saw it as a waste of time as I got older.
Perhaps becasue I was never thought any techniques, it seem like it would take me forever to draw something.

Rather than sturggle or trace, I’d like to lean some techniques on drawing. My professor said I should try the book callled : The New Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain

But, I feel the need for a more visual reference to observe hand movement and style.

Does anyone know any DVD’s out there that shows how to draw characters from a basic foundation and up?

gnonon has some but its for drawings robots or vehicles.

Any input is appreciated

Hey,

That is possibly exactly what I was freakin’ looking for bro…

Just the fact that he show how to measure using your pen for example is something I cannot grasp in a book. The visual techniques are better for me.

How lond did it take you to learn these dvd’s?

Thanks for that great suggestion!
