I have no words. Absolutely awesome movie! Nuff Said!!!

i AGREE DMONK… awesome flick… i can’t say enough about it… Definately can’t wait til VOL. 2

#4

ok try and pitch the movie to me:

I love crouching tiger type action, but not a huge gore fan…

the knife fight in the ad looked really really scripted, uma was dodging without looking, made it look kinda corny even though it was so fast. She looked to just be going through motions. Keanu in Reloaded in the Chateau is a great example of how i think the fights should look.

When a guy came at him with two swords he was faking left and right trying to keep an eye on the blades and waited till they swung and at the last minute dodged, not just blindly turning

What’s this movie about…exactly?

i’ve heard all these people talking about it, no clue what it’s about though :surprised

Kill Bill is Charlie’s Angels meets Shaw Brother’s revenge epic meets anime meets Tarantino. Suprisingly, it’s not as good as that premise sounds. It’s not terrible, lots of blood letting and a couple really good scenes, but it’s far from great.

I agree with mcronin.

I didnt like it nor hate it. It was an ok flick.

the thing is I probably would have liked it a lot more if it was one movie , just when things start to get interesting they end it :frowning:

damn you miramax :frowning:

Did you see Kill Bill? I would actually see the flick before you start saying how it should look.:wavey:

Errr Noooo Sheep Factory said it was “OK”
And I was just trying to get into wanting to see it after reading a few reviews. It is getting good reviews.
Aren’t you the one that posted the movie trailer in the 1st place?

I said it was OK because it feels like i saw half the movie. Which is exactly what happened :frowning: , but unlike say matrix , lotr , this movie was meant to be one movie and just when it starts to become interesting they end it.

otherwise its very good , great sword fights and cinematography.
hell its worth the price just to see go go yubari

just saw it -
very entertaining, not a great movie though…
very manga - even the dialogue feels like it was translated…I’ll see pt2 when it comes, but it’s not going on any of my ‘lists’ (good or bad)…

Sorry to be the first negative post but I really didn’t like it. I really have this thing against martial arts movies that use people who don’t know martial arts. The action was bland and there was too much focus on a story that didn’t really deserve that much focus. The thing that really got to me though was all this “style” the movie had was just all over the place it was very haphazard. It really seems like Tarantino either didn’t know what direction to take the movie in, or he had so many ideas that they became a jumbled mess when it was all thrown together. I have to say though the scene done by Production I.G. was fantastic. It was really well done and had a great look to it. Unfortunately I don’t think it belonged in the movie at all. Again it just seems to be another example of throwing everything in but the kitchen sink it just seemed like a big mess.

If only jackie-chan or jet-lee be the main character instead of a blond damn girl that dont know how to make an high kick. :stuck_out_tongue:

well, in all fairness the second movie is coming out in less than four months.

just got back from Kill Bill.

LOVED EVERYTHING ABOUT IT!

Quentin Tarantino did a awesome job. everything is Tarantino-style and is a great action flick. a very nice tribute to the samurai films of past. and Production I.G. [ghost in the shell / stand alone complex / flcl] did a awesome anime chapter! not only did i cringe at some of the over the top violence, but i laughed RIGHT after each one.

I’m dying to see this. But i’m going to see Bubba Ho Tep tomorrow instead. Maybe I’ll wait for the crowds to die out a little for Kill Bill.

I completely disagree…I HATED the fights in matrix reloaded…I mean the guy could bend a spoon with his mind, but not his virtual body? come on…keanu’s movements are just WAY too stiff.

KILL BILL now stands as my number 2 movie of all time…

It was everything I wanted it to be and more.

Run, don’t walk to the theatres, and see this film.

Congratulations to Tarantino and his team on making an amazing film.

-Kol.

P.S. Pulp fiction is my #1 movie. But really…they should be tied.

#19

the movie was awesome, and after i left i had to get the soundtrack

to me it felt original in the way it was made…i don’t know what but it just felt different and more entertaining then a regular movie

Personally I can’t wait to see this one. Probably the most anticipated movie in ages (since Nemo)
