How would I create this gold effect?

I need to apply this lens flare and glitter effect to an animation I’ve made for someone. I have a logo with a light moving in front of it to get some nice reflections. I’m pretty experienced with Blender but not with compositing in it. I think I can make the lens flare, but I’m lost when it comes to the glitter effect. Can it even be done in the compositor?

I did, but I never seem to get a response if I post to just one forum so I post on a bunch. I managed to get an alright effect after a while of trying.
