I can only seem to connect vertice, to vertice. i cant like have 2 verts connect to 2 edges. im sure you can do this. anyone have any ideas.
How would i connect a vertice, to a edge?
L - Might be worth mentioning that RMB option of Edge | Cut will let you slide the new vert along the selected edge to a position of your choice - rather than just the mid point (note info readout top left)
(Don’t get this option if multiple edges are selected)
If you want to use this RMB option on several edges (one after the other), try this :
Select first edge, Edge | Cut RMB and slide etc
Deselect new vert
Select next edge
Press D (repeat last command) … or whatever key it’s now on - in your case
Drag vert to new position etc
Repeat and simmer under low grill…
Using Shift +D will put verts at the same position (percentage wise) on a series of edges.
Then select new verts and connect

thanks everyone, isnt there like a edge loop in wings3d? like i select a single edge and then let the command for edge loop go, then it cuts all the way around. if i had a edge on my guys arm, i did edge loop and it would cut all the way down? i thought that was wings that did that. i know in maya there is mjpoly tools that will do it.
this option is called connect. just select a ring of edges (shortcut would be r ;)) and press c for connecting them.
<< select a single edge and then let the command for edge loop go >>
Select a single edge
Press L
This will select the whole edge loop (for as long as the edges satisfy eloop specs)
If you then want to cut along this loop, use Edge | LoopCut
(Shift + L, btw will return the edges forming a perimeter around a face selection)
