how to use the airbrush mode with the brush tool??

Hi, been noticing this mode for a long time, don’t normally touch it, but now want to give it a shot. What i noticed is that, first I would lower the flow of course, then turned on the button. But then, I found no difference between when the mode was on or when it was off, the tone built up as i swing the brush side to side regardless… so what’s the deal?? hope some one can give me some help here, feel really stupid can’t get this supposedly everyone knows button. thanks!!!

Try holing the stylus in one place in airbrush mode without moving it. You should see it continuously building color even though you’re not moving.
