How to stop soft body objects from intersecting?

Hello!

A beginner question,

I have papers blowing out of a tube (Attractor object inside with a cloner for the papers) The cloner has the soft body tag.

The papers are initially intersecting in order to squeeze them into the tube, but I want them not to once I press the play button and they are shot out.

Right now they intersect and are stuck mid air together making weird polygons (Probably because you’re not supposed to intersect these types of objects.

How can I stop them these papers from intersecting? Especially when mid air?

Dynamics will try to sort out the intersections the moment the simulation starts, but that can and will result in strange shapes and sudden movements. Chances are it will not be able to come to a stable solution within the tube so you will either have to model them non intersecting inside of the tube, or use dynamics to push them into the tube in the first place.

Disable dynamics for all frames that they have to intersect.
Then just before they have to be released move them slightly to have a distance from each other.
Then enable dynamics.
