How to put bring in an architectural animation into a movie

Hello am an architectural Visualiser and am trying to incoporate a rendering into a movie of i just made. I would like help with this please

for example, i have an image that i have rendered and i have done a little movie of the empty site where it intends to be, how can i then incoporate the rendered image into the movie so after completion it looks like it is already there…Hope you get it now? Thanks

It helps if your render has an alpha channel, then you can just layer it over the clip of the site. I’m guessing this isnt the case, so you may need to cut it out first with the mask tool or in photoshop, or do a luma-key on it. It’s hard to tell without seeing it. You mentioned it’s a movie of the empty site, but i’m guessing the render is a still image? If thats the case and you have to do motion matching, thats a whole new monster. You would need to use the motion tracker in after effects, but it’s hard to guide you without looking over your shoulder at the project. :slight_smile:

like u said i guessed it would be harder if i did an animation of the building and try incoporating it into the movie thats why i thought of having an image, however i am not really good with after effects as of now but if you think its the tool to use i would put all my time to getting better, and i can call on you once i am into it to help. Would that be possible?
