How to play an Audio CD with Blender?

I´ve got Blender to play an Audio CD file through the CD actuator. It plays fine in the application when I start the game with the P key. But when I generate a .exe file, the sound doesn´t play anymore? Anyone has a clue about what´s happening?

Of course!!!… Blender can generate almost all kind of Multimedia presentations… I recall that once it was used to drive a show on one of those star proyection domes on a planetarium.

Enhanced audio support

The Windows version of the Blender Publisher and the ActiveX control now uses the fmod library. This enables you to use Ogg Vorbis audio (a free very good compressing format) and a wider variety of sound formats. Beside that the library is very fast (meaning less CPU cycles used)

The Sound Actuator (see Figure 9) now supports two new play modes for playing sound in a Ping-Pong mode. This plays the sound first forward, then backwards, which is great for environment sounds.

The CD Actuator that enables you to play back tracks from a CD on Windows sytems. It includes control of the CD volume and pausing/resuming the playback.

Arangel, I don’ t know what may be the problem with your CD actuator, but playback of normal adio files works great on blender-compiled games, both on Windows and Linux.
